If family stories are to be believed, Kevin began fishing shortly after he learned to walk. The Short family had a small pond adjacent to their house at the time and whenever Kevin left the house, he was headed for the pond. That love of time on the water has transformed Kevin into one of a small handful of anglers on the planet to win multiple Bassmaster Elite Series events. Known as “K-Pink” by fans around the world for his flashy, hot pink boat wraps and jerseys, Kevin is regarded by many as one of the best anglers in both shallow, dirty water and deep, clear impoundments. He has won at every competition level over the course of a tournament career spanning two decades. When not roaming the country chasing bass, Kevin lives on Lake Conway outside of Mayflower, Arkansas with his wife, Kerry.
