Question: With the first Major League Fishing event at Amistad in the books, a lot of positive things are being said about it and the format. What are your thoughts on MLF? Can it be the next FLW or will it fall in ranks with PAA (not knocking the PAA) as far as money and sponsors?

Question: From the BassFan interview with Mike Iaconelli, is there any way to completely shut out the help from local experts ANY TIME before and during tournament days to determine who is the best of the bests to “FIND” and catch the 5 largest bass in pro tournaments all by him/herself with only lake maps, GPS/fishfinder? Wouldn’t this make tournament fishing a true and fair competition?
Question: It seems like B.A.S.S. is planning to cut the Elite Series field in the near future. What are your thoughts about that? Does this mean threatening of security, stability and future of the current Elite Series pros?
This year, the schedule seemed to be so tight, especially for the final day qualifiers in each event to go to the next event after the final day. Could they really practice on Monday, the very next day after the final day of the previous event?
Currently the regular Elite Series consists of 8 events. Are only 8 events in only March to July enough? As the fan of the Elite Series, I would like to see 2 events a month (second and fourth week of every month except for December) the events spread between January to November from west to east and north to south in the country.

Question: There are so many new, cutting edge technologies in bass fishing, especially for tournament fishermen. This cutting edge equipment such as Power-Pole, Humminbird side-imaging fish finder, and HydroWave are very expensive. Almost all average fishermen at the very average income level can not afford to buy these fancy tools. I see only one Elite Series pro that does not seem to have these fancy gadgets on his boat. He still runs a 200hp outboard while his fellow competitors are running 250hp outboards. But he still does very well in his career in the Bassmaster Elite Series. Do you all need these fancy tools to compete in the high level tournaments such as Bassmaster Elite Series and FLW Tour? If KVD did not have these fancy tools, would he start losing tournaments?

Question: I was thinking many pros visit the lakes that they will be fishing in the circuit next season just to get the feeling about these lakes and contact local experts before the no information rule becomes effective. What is the truth?

Question: What do the pros that do not have so many sponsors do during off season? And, how do these pros make a living?

Question: How many bass pros are from wealthy families? I have heard so many pros are from wealthy families or have rich spouses. Are there any pros that did not have any wealthy family background at all? I also think having a business besides full time fishing is pretty common in this sport. Is this true?
